Call to Worship from Isaiah 9:2 to 7

Refrain from Hymn #64 v 1

“Be still and know that I am God”

The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light;
those who lived in a land of deep darkness, on them light has shined.
You have multiplied the nation, you have increased its joy;
they rejoice before you, as with joy at the harvest,
as people exult when dividing plunder.
For the yoke of their burden, and the bar across their shoulders,
the rod of their oppressor,  you have broken as on the day of Midian.
For a child has been born for us, a son given to us; authority rests upon his shoulders; and he is named
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. R
 His authority shall grow continually, and there shall be endless peace for the throne of David and his kingdom.
He will establish and uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time onward and forevermore.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this. R

Apostle’s Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty,

creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, our Lord,

who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,

born of the Virgin Mary,

suffered under Pontius Pilate,

was crucified, died, and was buried;

he descended to the dead.

On the third day he rose again;

he ascended into heaven,

he is seated at the right hand of the Father,

and he will come again to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,

the holy catholic church,

the communion of saints,

the forgiveness of sins,

the resurrection of the body,

and the life everlasting. AMEN.

Has Been moved to the main page under worship.

“Prayer is the link of the chain that connects us with God. It is the bridge that spans every gulf and bears us over every mountain of danger and need”.

If you would like a name to appear on the prayer chain, please tell Rev James or an Elder, either in person or in email. Each month, we will specifically read out all of the names, in worship, in prayer, on the last week of the month.
